The Challenge

What do you do when an accomplished Filipino chef asks you to create a new brand for their event and catering startup? Tasting party! That’s what we did when Jayma Lyn, founding chef of ADiplomata, approached us to help her develop a new brand for her healthy Asian food startup. We got straight to the mouth-watering work of understanding what made her idea, and her food, unique.

The Result

Even though A Diplomata was just an idea, Jayma Lyn brought such a contagious passion for her Filipino heritage and cuisine; we couldn’t help but get excited. After discussing her goals, we set out to capture her personality within the brand itself. Creating a “food brand” wasn’t good enough; we needed to capture her energy and her pledge to transform a typically unhealthy cuisine into something fun, healthy and exciting.

What the Client Received

A Diplomata needed more than a good logo; it required a complete brand identity system to support the promising startup. Today, A Diplomata is flourishing, and while we’d love to claim credit for its success, we’d be fooling ourselves. Our custom branding contributed to her fantastic growth, but it’s Jayma Lyn’s joy and tasty phad thai which is the real growth story.
