3 Logo Design Ideas
Inspired by Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year
By Guimel Sibingo, Communications Manager
If you’re in the world of design and you don’t know about Pantone’s Colour of the Year, you must be living under a rock (as the Communications Manager for Atomivox and a non-designer this was definitely true of me)!
This year’s colour, Living Coral (Pantone 16-1546), was announced December of last year. The colour matching maven describes it as “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. “
Pantone’s Colour of the Year selections are often used to inspire fashion designers, publishers and graphic designers. They are even used to inspire makeup looks and tutorials (I see you, Fenty!)
This year’s colour is sure to make a mark not just in the fashion and makeup world but in design as well.
Living Coral & Design
Graphic design expert and writer Carrie Cousins has a lot of great things to say about Pantone’s selection for this year.
The colour has already been inspiring great designs and can be used in gradients and colour swatches. Cousins says that although the colour can be perceived as feminine, it can still be used in various ways for all kinds of projects that cater to everyone.
As you can see, Living Coral is a good bet for enhancing designs and creative projects.
Logos love Coral!
What about logos? Living Coral is a good option if you are looking to make your logos more joyful and optimistic.
Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered! Our Creative Director (and design expert) Marcy, took some of the logos that she has designed over the years and beautifully infused them with this new colour.
